Challenge
An important objective of the Group is the continued
development and expansion of these companies by; further
upgrading and extending product ranges and services, strengthening
the manufacturing base and increasing marketing activities
across the region.
The Management at Alhamrani realise that they must
replace some of their legacy systems and integrate others
with web technologies to achieve these business objectives.

Intelligence
The Alhamrani Group has a number of potential projects
for it’s subsidiary companies. However the starting
point was the Group itself. A detailed requirements gathering
exercise resulted in the identification of a 3 phased
solution. However these 3 phases are the essential components
that will lay the ground for potential projects across
the Alhamrani subsidiary companies.

| Solution
Phase 1:
This phase was intended to deliver a relatively quick
solution to the Alhamrani group, and have a web presence
that reflects the corporate image and ethos. As such
in the initial phase, more emphasis was placed on the
graphical aspect of the site, the navigation and the
static content.
Phase 2:
In this phase the content management system and back-end
database will be developed. This system will allow a
variety of users e.g. administrators for different companies,
to update and maintain the web content relevant to them,
through a password protected administration section.
This administration section will only be visible to
the employees of Alhamrani who have been granted “administrator”
responsibilities.
Phase3:
This phase is to cover B2B and B2C functionality. An
analysis exercise will be conducted, to define the exact
requirements. Once this is done, the additional functionality
to be developed will be clear. The focus of this phase
will be the integration of selected back end processes
for the following systems
1. Baan
2. Help-Desk Trouble Ticket Systems
3. Kerridge Point of Sale
