Business
Euro Car Parks are the second largest owners of car parking space in the UK. They have over a 100 sites across the UK, and also mange car parks for others companies. They are also expanding in the UK and aiming to break into the European market.

Challenge
Euro Car Parks firstly wanted a web presence that would advertise their services on the internet. They also wanted an online system that would allow their customers to pay for their penalty tickets online. At that time this was a manual process that would take approximately a week to process a ticket.

Intelligence
Designing a website that matched their corporate branding was a straightforward task. For their penalty payment module, we firstly had to examine the tickets that were issued, and understand the rules relating to the payment of these tickets. We then had to design a system, where these tickets could be entered, and allow customers to pay for them online.

Solution
The penalty payment system that was developed, and deployed to their website, now allows ECP to post tickets the very next day they are issued, and accepts payments for these tickets online, using credit cards. A process was also developed where customers can pay by cheque, by following the online instructions.
Initially ECP were only issuing one type of ticket, but had said that they might introduce other tickets in the future. Therefore we also developed an administrator interface to our system, to allow them to add different types of tickets, with different cost structures. Using this interface, ECP have complete control of the type of tickets they issue, as well as the attributes of all tickets.
We also included functionality, for ECP to add new car parking sites to their system, as they acquired them.
Additionally we also helped ECP with setting up a Virtual Protocol Network to facilitate better communication between there head office in London, and subsidiary offices around the UK.
