Realtime Forex is a Swiss based financial institution that provides online currency trading to; small to mid-size institutions and private investors. They also manage certain customer accounts, and provide advice for currency traders.

Challenge
Realtime Forex have developed an application, RF2000, which can allow experienced traders to trade currencies online. They now want to enhance and improve this product, to offer further functionality, and develop it to a stage where they can attract a bigger market of currency traders. The long term plan is to "white-label" the application, and present it for sale on the market.
Additionally Realtime Forex also wanted us to assume responsibility for updating and maintaining their website.

Intelligence
The initial phase was to have one of our experienced project managers conduct a full software audit, on site in Geneva. This also gave us a chance to observe how the company functioned and understand their requirements for the future in more detail. This phase took about four weeks and the results were well documented. Once we understood how the software worked, and what was needed, we could work more effectively with the client.

Solution
This is a good example of our outsourcing service. As the client had a variety of changes and enhancements they wanted, both to their application and website, we proposed an outsourcing agreement.
This allows the client to have a number of dedicated resources at our off shore development centre, managed by our project manager, and coordinating the delivery of work with the Realtime Forex IT director.
This agreement has allowed Realtime Forex to still be involved, at their discretion, in the planning of the different projects, while handing over the delivery of the technical solution to us.
So far, we are working on four different projects for Realtime Forex, relating to their website and RF2000 application, with more already in the pipeline.
